At Manitoba Hanoverian Stable (MHS), we are passionate about horses, horsemanship, and the lasting joy that riding brings. Located in the beautiful rural community of Poplar Point, Manitoba, we specialize in breeding, raising, and developing Hanoverian sport horses known for their excellent temperament, athletic ability, and versatility.

With roots in Germany and over three decades of breeding experience in Canada, our program blends traditional European breeding principles with hands-on horsemanship and modern sport horse development. The foundation of our stable began with carefully selected Hanoverian mares from Germany, establishing bloodlines rooted in proven performance programs.

For more than 30 years, we have raised our foals from birth, nurturing them with patience and expertise as they mature into confident, capable partners. Our breeding program emphasizes personality, trainability, correct conformation, expressive movement, and long-term soundness — all within a safe and respectful environment that prioritizes the well-being of every horse in our care.

Developing Horses with Purpose

Our young horses are raised in a natural, carefully managed setting that supports healthy physical development and balanced temperaments. As they grow, they are introduced to handling and training gradually and thoughtfully.
